PUMP OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The gear set draws oil from the tank through the oil filter inside it and transfers it to the valve that controls the oil pressure to the nozzle line. All oil that does not pass through the nozzle line is returned through the valve to the return line in two-pipe installations or, if it is a one-pipe installation, returned to the suction port in the gear set. In this case, the bypass plug must be removed from the return port, and the return port sealed by a steel plug and washer. This valve also has a cut-off function as follows: During the start-up period when the gear wheel speed increases, all oil will pass through a special flat on the piston, returning to the return. After the speed reaches a certain value, and the flow can no longer pass through this flat, the pressure quickly overcomes the spring force of the valve and opens the valve.
During the shutdown sequence, the gear wheel speed slows down, and the valve closes when the gear set capacity is lower than the flat flow. Cut-on and cut-off speeds depend on the gear set size and set pressure. Bleeding: Bleeding in two-pipe operations is automatic but can be accelerated by loosening the plug in the pressure measuring port. In a single-pipe operation, the pressure port must be opened to bleed into the oil pump system. SUNTEC J oil pump combines pressure control valve with cut-off function except J oil pump 1002. J oil pump is adapted for heavy oil from 2.8 to 200 cSt. J oil pump range 1000 is built with a conical thread. J oil pump range 1000 and 1001 combine in-line cut-off function. J oil pump range 1002 is built without an in-line cut-off function.
